Recently, we received feedbacks and pictures of Ranch ukulele from some customers. We are glad to see the happiness between their review lines from Soprano Ukulele, Concert Ukulele and Tenor Ukulele. Here we show them to you. Let’s start making your own ukulele sound and stretch your soul with this little Hawaiian guitar!

We have several Ukulele’s at our home. My oldest daughter has a Kala we purchased in Kauaii while on vacation ($100), my second daughter has a starter/kids diamond head soprano ukulele she purchased years ago ($35) and a Lanika concert ukulele ($90 pictured below). After comparing this ukulele to our others we came up with the conclusion that we could have saved a lot of money by purchasing this ukulele vs the others. While the tenor ukulele has been excellent, it came solo (no extras) and cost a lot of money, the Lanika (again no extras) has beautiful sound quality and both are great ukuleles, but in my opinion this Ranch ukulele is just as quality as the others we own for half the cost! The sound quality is absolutely beautiful, and the color of the wood is stunning as is the entire look of the ukulele. The gig bag it comes with is padded and far superior to the bag we purchased separately for our Lanika. My daughter has now stolen my bag and claimed it as her own. I also love that it comes with a neck strap for when you want to play standing up (already used that feature several times). The extra strings and polishing cloth are nice additions as is the tuner. Thus far the tuner has worked perfectly every time we have tuned it. Now my youngest daughter is begging for her own ukulele, and this will be the one we purchase again! I couldn’t be more pleased with this beautiful instrument! Thank you Ranch for providing such excellent quality products at affordable prices!

This is a great starter ukulele, or even a great second ukulele for someone that place. It’s a very affordably concert size ukulele and easy to play. It plays in tune up and down the neck, which is important thing to look for when purchasing a ukulele. The extra things added or a nice bonus such as the tuner and strap and carrying bag.

My Thoughts:

I purchased this a while ago to accompany a 26 Professional. Now that I have had some time with it I felt ready to share some things. First, I do think you get a lot more your money. The 21 inch is slightly smaller than I’m used to but it still played some happy tunes.
The Brand is “Ranch,” and this is the UK-21 Soprano kit. You get everything you need to get started and learn how to play…so good for a beginner and also for someone who already plays. The Soprano model of course is much smaller that a Concert Ukulele hence the 21 inches. The sound difference between a Soprano is that it’s the loudest, brightest sound out of the 3(Concert,Tenor). I think that when people think of a Ukulele they think of a Soprano. the smaller one.
The finish is nice but not as good as a $100+ Martin Ukulele. Not that big of a deal though because it still sounds great. In fact, it basically sounds the name as more expensive name brands.
The last thing I would say is that if you are an adult looking to buy your 1st Ukulele I would probably go with a Concert size so it is not as awkward to handle, but for a kid the Soprano would be on point.

The Bottom Line:

I can’t tell the difference in sound between this Ukulele and a Martin. If you are just looking for something fun with loud, bright sound, you will be happy.

The uke arrived well packaged, with all the goodies listed. I was expecting it to be average sound-wise, given the cost. I was wrong! The bell-like tones that came out of this instrument when I first plucked the strings were quite a surprise. And I do mean bell-like. Im a beginner at ukulele, so my strumming and finger placement isnt all that good, but that doesnt seem to matter with this uke. The tones are rich and full, not tinny and plinky. I signed up for Ranch 12 Free uke lessons by accident and then figured “what the heck”, I can try it just for fun. This ukulele has made the class much easier for me. Someone suggested a tenor uke because I have large hands, and I knew I wouldnt be able to play a little one. It is a perfect fit. The lessons has turned out to be fun and easy. We are playing all those funny songs we sang as kids–Row row row your boat, you are my sunshine–fun stuff. Since this ukulele is easy to play, Im able to focus on the hysterical lyrics of some of those songs! Its a HOOT!
